Kaldur'ahm is Aquaman

If you've been following the show since it first started, you know that Kaldur has been a leader at heart for a long time. He also was being groomed to take over the role of Aquaman and today, Entertainment Weekly can confirm Kaldur is the new Aquaman! King Orin who was Aquaman in the show was pulling double duty by ruling Atlantis and being at the Justice League's beck and call whenever Earth was threatened. Stepping aside and allowing Kaldur to take on the role is a huge accomplishment for Kaldur and takes being a protector of Earth off his plate. Executive Producer Greg Wiesman had this to say about the changing of the guard:

We established back in season 1 that King Orin was training Kaldur to take his place as Aquaman. Aquaman was also King of Atlantis, which to most people would be a full-time job, and yet he also had to be in the Justice League as Aquaman, which was a lot on his plate. His game plan was to train Kaldur’ahm to be the new Aquaman so he could go back to being King of Atlantis, which was plenty. What you’ll see in this season is that after everything that’s happened in season 1 and season 2, and the leadership qualities that Kaldur has shown, Orin looks at Kaldur and says, ‘You’re ready.’ It’s a pretty momentous year for him.

Now that the new Aquaman has been announced, we can't wait to see what other changes have come to our founding members! Let us know your thoughts in the comments below and in the forum!
